    报告题目：Planetary Sounding Radar for Surface and Subsurface Mapping

    报告人简介： Yann Berquin is currently a lecturer with CCNU Wollongong Joint Institute at Central China Normal University. Yann graduated from Grenoble Institute of Technology in Applied Physics and from the French Institute of Petroleum in Geophysics. He completed his Ph.D. at Université Grenoble Alpes. His research interests include sounding radar for planetary exploration, inverse problems, robotics mapping and more generally the use of physics in data assimilation. He has actively collaborated with researchers from the Institute for Planetology and Astrophysics of Grenoble, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the University of Tuebingen.

    报告摘要：Planetary sounding radars are space born low frequency radars used for planetary atmosphere, surface and subsurface probing. The first part of the talk will provide a brief overview of the concept and the instrument. A simulation for radar surface echoes will then be detailed and its application for surface dielectric permittivity imaging will be presented. Finally, discussions of recent findings with CONSERT and MARSIS instruments will be further discussed as well as upcoming radar instruments.
